Day five of the Bora Bora, Rangiroa and Fakarava scuba diving nine nights and ten days tour involves diving at various places in Rangiroa. During day five scuba diving vacationers are at liberty to plan their own scuba dives. The recommended scuba diving sites that people should definitely undertake are at The Wind Mill, The Blue, Tiputa Pass, The Angle, The Wrasse Plateau and The Aquarium. Rangiroa is well known for its big agitated passes of Avatoru and Tiputa. It has on of the world’s biggest atolls and Rangiroa also provides great drift diving where people can come into contact with sea creatures such as manta rays, eagle rays, hammerhead sharks, reef sharks, turtles, dolphins, jackfish and many other different kinds of schools of fish.
Day six and day seven of the scuba diving tour is the same as day five where people can plan their own scuba diving ventures for each day. On the eighth day all scuba divers on the tour will be taken to the Rangiroa airport by mini bus to the Rangiroa airport. There they will all board a plane and enjoy a short flight to Fakarava. On arriving in Fakarava they will be transported to the White Sands Beach Resort Hotel in Fakarava. Here each person will check into their own Tiare Bungalow where they will spend the next three nights. The stay at these bungalows includes half board only with breakfast and dinner provided on each of the three days of their stay. Scuba divers on tour can then plan their own scuba diving activities with either Top Dive who are located at the White Sands Resort or with Te Ava Diving who have their offices in the village.
The eighth day is left for people to plan their own scuba dives again with either Top Dive or with Te Ava Diving. The recommended dives that people are encouraged to go on are The Northern Garuae Pass and The Southern Tetamanu Pass. The UNESCO biosphere reserve in Fakarava is the second largest atoll in Polynesia. Fakarava protects a very rich and rare natural bionetwork that holds sea creatures such as the hunting king-fisher, the Tuamotu palm and in the Fakarava lagoons various shell fish such as squill or sea cicadas, known as mantis shrimps, can be seen. There are many imposing passes that scuba divers can enjoy in this area, including large pelagic fish and massive volumes of different reef creatures.
